LAHORE - Bismah Maroof guided ZTBL to crushing 232-run triumph over Pakistan Boards in the seventh National Women Cricket Championship Pool B match here at Lahore Gymkhana cricket ground on Friday.
ZTBL, batting first, posted a mammoth total of 334 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Bismah was top scorer with 82 runs. Maryyam Batool (72) and Nida Dar (70) played well. Asha Khan clinched 3-64 and Hafsa Amjad 2-58. Pakistan Boards, in reply, could only manage to score 102-7 in 50 overs. Ayesha was unbeaten with 39 runs. Bismah claimed 2-22 and Nida Dar 2-15. Rawalpindi Region defeated Peshawar Region by six wickets in another pool B match here at Model Town Whites Ground. Peshawar Region, batting first, scored 132 runs in 42.1overs. Zainab Khan made 59 runs. Naila Nazir claimed 4-17 and Shela Bibi 2-13, Sadia Khaliq 2-29. Rawalpindi achieved the target for the loss of four wickets in 35 overs. Naila made unbeaten 65 runs and Badar-un-Nisa 23.
