Four gangs of criminals busted in Capital



ISLAMABAD - Islamabad police on Friday arrested four gangs of criminals who were involved in various types of burglaries and auto theft.
According to a press note issued here on Friday, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police busted four gangs who were involved in dacoities, vehicle snatching, theft incidents and recovered a vehicle and looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.
Amir Khan, Jabin Khan, and Ameen Khan, who were involved in a snatching the vehicle (LRJ-4774) owned by Wali Khan s/o Kabil Khan after kidnapping his driver, were arrested. CIA police also recovered the vehicle and started further investigation from them. Two other gangs of dacoits were also busted by CIA police and gangsters were identified as Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Arsahd, Shaukat Ali, Niamat Khan. They have confessed their involvement in dacoities in the area of Sahlimar and Shehzad Town police stations.
The police arrested another gang of thieves including Asif Masih, Khalid Masih, Abid Khan. Police recovered stolen items wroth of hundreds of thousands of rupees.
Meanwhile, police arrested Faryad Masih for having 15 wine bottles. Police arrested an accused Abid Yusuf for having 30 bore pistol.
Separately, police apprehended Awais Shah in possession of 30 bore pistol while an accused Aleem was also arrested for having 725 grams hashish.
Police nabbed a drug pusher Liaqat Ali for having 510 grams hashish while Ibadat Khan was also arrested for having 1.1 kilograms hashish.
