Multan teach cricket lesson to SJAL


LAHORE - Multan Press Club outclassed Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) by huge 95 runs margin in the Punjab Sports Festival cricket hardball final, which concluded here at the LCCA ground on Friday.
Multan team was combination of some very professional and talented players and they were off to flying start. Playing superbly, they piled up a mammoth total of 159 runs for the loss of just one wicket in 10 overs.
Jamshed Rizwani played superb unbeaten 91 runs innings which was the highest score of the tournament. Agha Shahid scored impressive 37 runs.
In reply, SJAL could manage only 64 runs for the loss of six wickets. Agha Shahid was successful bowler for Multan. At the end, chief guest Director General Sports Usman Anwar distributed medals, certificates and souvenirs among the players.
In the bar associations cricket hardball finalh, Gujranwala Bar defeated Multan Bar by 24 runs. Ijaz Basra was the chief guest on the event. In the final cricket hardball special persons match, Bahawalpur beat Faisalabad by seven wickets.
