Peoples Party completes South Punjab organisation

LAHORE - President Asif Ali Zardari who is also Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman has nominated different office bearers for party’s South Punjab organisation. 
The Pakistan Peoples Party had split its Punjab organisation into two chapters; one for central Punjab and the other for south Punjab some six months back in line with its policy of carving out a new province for the people living in South Punjab.
Makhdoom Shahabuddin was then nominated as President of the newly created south Punjab organisation and has been retained as such under the new arrangement.
According to the notification, Punjab Assembly Member Malik Aamer Dogar MPA has been nominated General Secretary while MPA Shaukat Mehmood Basra will perform duties as Secretary Information.
Other office bearers include: Haider Zaman Qureshi (Senior Vice-President), Toachi Khan (Vice-President), Hassan Askari (Vice-President), Khawaja Mudassar Mehmood (Vice-President), Ehsanul Haq Naulatia (Deputy Secretary Information), Member of Provincial Assembly, Naushir Langrial (Finance Secretary), Abu Bakar Awan (Secretary Coordination) and Sajida Malik (Secretary Record & Events). 
The newly appointed Secretary Information Shaukat Mehmood Basra said in a statement that all office-bearers of Pakistan Peoples Party will try their best to come up to the expectations of party Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari and fight for the rights of the people of Southern Punjab at all fronts.
