Illegal allottees will have to vacate govt residences within one month: CJP

Islamabad May: Supreme Court (SC) has sought a report from all the related departments in respect of irregularities in the allotment of the government residences within 15 days.

A three-member bench of SC headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case Thursday.

During the hearing CJP remarked “ give us report regarding the allotment of government residences within 15 days, The illegal allotments have been made to Officers and they are living therein. Provide us with the details of Officers.

CJP inquired "tell us what the state has done till now? Illegal allottees will have to vacate homes within one month, if they don’t vacate homes then respective departments should take possession on their own".

There are some people who have been transferred but still they are occupying the houses.

The court while summoning report on this matter from all the four Provincial Chief Secretaries as well adjourned the hearing of case indefinitely.
