British minister holds talks with Zardari

ISLAMABAD - British State Minister Mark Field called on former president Asif Ali Zardari here Thursday.

Matters of mutual interest of Pakistan and Britain as well as world situation were discussed in the meeting, said a Pakistan People’s Party statement. Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Salim Mandviwala and Faisal Karim Kundi were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Asif Zardari condemned terror attack in Quetta and said that terror can be completely eliminated by crushing the planners of saboteur activities. In a statement, the former president paid rich tribute to Deputy Inspector General Hamid Shakil and other deceased and said that they were heroes of the nation.

Zardari said the nation has to defeat the philosophy of terror. He said that the nurseries of terror must be removed and all terrorists, their supporters, and financiers must be apprehended and brought to justice.
