FAISALABAD - Over 4.17 million (4,176, 420) people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the district.
District Health Officer Dr Ataul Mun’im said on Tuesday 2,837, 028 citizens were injected first dose while 1,278, 920 were administered the second dose of vaccine. He further said that 37,002 health workers were also given first dose while 23,470 received the second dose of vaccine. He said that sufficient stock of coronavirus vaccine was available in the district. As of now 247,645 first doses and 165,097 second doses were in the stock in Faisalabad. He said that 37 vaccination centers and 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad where registered people were being vaccinated.
In order to facilitate the people these centers had been established in various areas of the city including Allied Hospital, District Head Quarters Hospital, Government General Hospital G.M Abad, Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, Government General Hospital Samanabad, Children Hospital, sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil Head Quarters Hospital Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala, Chak Jhumra, Sports Complex Chak Jhumrah, Sports Complex Jaranwala, Government General Hospital Chak 224-RB.
25,668 corona patients recover in Faisalabad

He further said that timing of these vaccination centers was 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. except Sports Complex Samanabad center which would remained open round the clock.
Meanwhile, another four cases of coronavirus were reported from various parts of the district during the last 24 hours.
A spokesperson for the health department said on Tuesday that a total of 25,668 corona patients recovered in the district. Presently 52 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, 20 at DHQ Hospital and seven at General Hospital. He said that 76 confirmed patients were isolated at their homes in the district.
He said that 200 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 52 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 at Govt General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad for COVID-19 patients. He further said that 603 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sector labs during the last 24 hours.
