Gwadar deprived of pure drinking water, JI tells media

QUETTA    -  Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, General Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, has said that residents of Gwadar were deprived of pure drinking water, but the incumbent government was busy to save its chair.

Economic killing of the people was being carried out in Gwadar in the name of security, he said while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday. He added that people and fishermen were being disgraced at check posts set up in different areas of Gwadar. With the exception of check posts and disgrace, the people of Gwadar had not obtained any benefits from China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that a mammoth sit-in would be staged in Gwadar during the month of November against the incapable rulers and for the rights of the people of Mekran division. He said that the whole Mekran division had been turned into check posts of security forces where people were often humiliated and disgraced. Moulana said that his name had been included in the fourth list, barring him thereby to visit from one district to another.
