At least seven members of a family including women and children died in collision between two over speeding vehicles here on Monday, police said.

The accident took place at Zhob Road in tehsil Daraban Kalan of Dera Ismail Khan where an over speeding truck and collided head-on.

Six people including two women and two children died on the spot while a minor girl was injured.

The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where the wounded girl also succumbed to their injuries.

The police impounded both vehicles and after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
