ISLAMABAD - Calligraphic work on Islamabad underpasses and bridges has further enhanced the beauty of Islamabad.
The artistic work has been carried out on the direction of the Capital Development Authority management. The officials said that 80 percent of the calligraphic work has been completed.
It should be noted that after the formal approval of CDA Roads and Marketing Department, at a few selected places in Islamabad, private companies have been allowed to advertise, while in Islamabad, wall chalking, advertising, writing or posting pamphlets is not only prohibited but a crime.
In this regard, 7th Avenue, 9th Avenue, Faisal Avenue and underpasses have been designed with fine calligraphy (artwork). Renovation work on Peshawar Morr Interchange on Srinagar Highway is in full swing.
In addition, on the direction of the CDA administration, students of private and public educational institutions associated with painting and calligraphy on the underpasses and bridges of the capital have been especially involved in the artwork campaign at I-8 flyover. A beautiful pattern of truck art has been designed on the pedestrian bridge along with, so that passersby can see the charming scene, decoration and calligraphy. The officials believe that city’s renovation and calligraphic work will also promote tourism.
Meanwhile, officers of the Audit and Accounts Group of the 48 Common Training Program visited the CDA Headquarters on Tuesday. Chairman CDA welcomed the visiting officers. Member Finance, Member Admin, Member Engineering, Member P&D and other high level officials of CDA also accompanied the Chairman CDA.
Chairman CDA gave a detailed briefing to the young officers about the aims and objectives of CDA. Chairman CDA said that the young generation has a huge responsibility, so the youth should play their role in the development of the country with hard work and honesty.
He also apprised the delegation about the development work taking place in Islamabad and said that the staff of CDA is performing their duties day and night with utmost diligence and dedication.
The chairman told the officers that in the last two years, the CDA has come to a surplus from the deficit and the money will be spent on development projects in the city. Commemorative shields were presented to the officers by the Chairman CDA at the end of the briefing.
