Two Daesh militants arrested in Peshawar

Peshawar   -  The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two ISIS Daesh militants during a raid in the provincial capital here Friday.

An official of CTD said that Abdul Khalid and Asghar Khan were arrested during a raid at Haji Camp Adda (bus terminal). Both the militants told investigators during interrogation that they had been selling drugs to generate revenue and shift the money to a Daesh commander in Afghanistan.

The money from the drugs would be used to purchase arms and ammunition, which would be later shifted to Khyber district, bordering Afghanistan, for terrorism activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, they disclosed.

It merits   mentioning here that on October 29 this year, the CTD had arrested four militants of Daesh and Al-Qaeda and also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Sultankhel area of Khyber district.

The official said that the four arrestees revealed information about two more of their accomplices, who were arrested in Peshawar in the latest action.
