46,413 to appear in 5th, 8th class exams


NANKANA SAHIB - As many as 46,413 students would take the 5th and 8th class annual examinations being conducted under the education boards of Nankana Sahib, Shah Kot, Sangla Hill and Safderabad tehsils on February 4 and February 6, respectively.
All necessary arrangements had already been completed in this respect, Assistant Controller Examinations Rana Muhammad Ashraf said while adding that 1,920 teachers - 98 resident inspectors, 160 head examiners, 123 superintendents, 600 teaching staff for paper marking and 900 examiners - would be appointed at all 207 examination centres in the four tehsils.
Starting from February 1, the class-5 exams would conclude on February 4. A total of 27,226 students would appear at 26 examination centres in Safderabad, 20 in Sangla Hill, 21 in Shah Kot and 51 in Nankana Sahib.
As per details, 3 distribution, 3 cloister and 3 marking centres would be set up in Safderabad and Sangla Hill, while 4 cloister, 4 distribution and 4 marking centres in Shah Kot and 10 cloister, 10 distribution and 10 marking centres would be established in Nankana for the class-5 exams.
A total of 19,187 students would appear in the 8th class exams starting from February 6 till February 11. Some 89 examination centres will be established in the four tehsils, with 38 examination centres, 3 distribution, 3 cloister and 3 marking centres in Safderabad and Sangla Hill.
Similarly, 16 exam centres, 4 cloister, 4 distribution, 4 marking centres in Shah Kot and 35 examination centres, 10 cloister, 10 distribution and 10 marking centres would be established in Nankana.
