VEHARI - PPP MNA and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Azeem Khan Daultana died in a road mishap here on Tuesday.
MNA Muhammad Azeem Khan Daultana was going to Vehari via Luddan on his vehicle, number Lee-1411, at 2 am when his car went out of control and collided with a tree. As a result, he sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital. His driver died on the spot while Azeem Daultana breathed his last at Vehari’s DHQ Hospital.  Azeem Daultana was the grandson of Mian Riaz Ahmed Daultana and son of 1st Chairman District Council Vehari and former Nazim Zahid Khan Daultana. He was also the nephew of PML-N central leader Tehmina Daultana.
His marriage date was fixed for February 5th. He came to Vehari to see the arrangements for the ceremony. The death of Azeem Khan Daultana was a great loss to the Daultana family as he was the only son of his parents. His funeral was held in his native village Luddan.
Azeem Daultana was elected MNA on PPP ticket from NA-168. He had defeated her aunt Tehmina Daultana in the 2008 elections.  President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have expressed heartfelt condolences over the death of Azeem Daultana.
