Bilawal bemoans girl killing in Kasur

| Vows to restore lost splendour of Quaid’s city

KARACHI - PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto has condemned the killing of a little girl after rape in Punjab’s district Kasur.

“The murder after rape of a 7-year-old girl Zainab in Kasur is shocking. (It is) a slap on the face of Sharifdom that continues to ignore such ghastly incidents,” Bilawal bemoaned.

“At least 10 incidents of minors’ rape and murders had been reported in Kasur and 11 in Sheikhupura alone last year. It seems some parts of Punjab have been turned into hell for the children, especially the girls but Sharif brothers appear to have abandoned their duty as rulers,” the PPP chairman said in a statement issued today.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that gory incident of children rapes and murders have shaken the society and any tolerance by Sharif brothers to perpetrators of these crimes won’t be accepted.

The PPP chairman demanded that rapists and killers of every innocent child should be brought to book and none of them should go scot-free.

Bilawal Bhutto reiterated that protection of children was top priority of PPP and crimes against the children would be sternly dealt with.

He expressed sympathies with all those parents who suffered the agonies and assured that PPP stands in solidarity with them.

 PPP will raise voice against these atrocities on our innocent children at every forum, he added.

Also, Bilawal has pledged to heal the wounds of Karachi and vowed to restore the lost splendour of Quaid-e-Azam’s city with the support of the Karachiittes.

The PPP chairman was presiding over a meeting of party’s Karachi Executive at Bilawal House on Wednesday evening. Those present in the meeting include President PPP Karachi Division MPA Saeed Ghani, General Secretary MPA Javed Nagori, Information Secretary and Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Syeda Shehla Raza, Senior Vice President Raja Abdul Razzaq, Salman Abdullah Murad, District Presidents and DMCs Chairmen.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that 2018 general elections will be the last for those who dragged Karachi into darkness and lawlessness. He said ethnicity and sectarianism were deliberately fanned for petty personal interests and megalopolis’ economy was destroyed through forced strikes in the city.

Bilawal further said that Karachi was a poor-friendly city and the PPP was the party of poor and downtrodden.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that politics of guns, threats and rigging has been buried once for all and the party will bring industrial revolution in Karachi after being elected by majority of the provincial capital.

The PPP chairman stressed upon the youth of Karachi to get ready to lead the nation calling upon them to work together to make our country a paradise on earth.
