Union Council vice chairman shot dead

TOBA TEK SINGH-A Union Council vice chairman from the PML-N was murdered while his brother was injured by their opponents here on Wednesday.
Deceased Muhammd Hussain and his brother Ch Manzoor Hussain were on their way by a motorcycle to Chak 336-GB Rajana Road near Chak Nagra. Meanwhile, accused Iqbal and his accomplices fired at them. As a result, Ch Muhammad Hussain died on the spot while his brother Manzoor Hussain was critically wounded and admitted to DHQ Hospital. Both the parties had dispute over joint business. Rajana police have registered case and were conducting raids to arrest the others.
Two brothers died in an accident at Gojra. Waseem and Azeem of Nai Abadi of Chak 416-JB were on their way on a motorcycle towards Faisalabad-Jhang Road. When they reached near Chak 414-JB on a link road a speeding pick-up hit their bike from opposite side. As a result Waseem died instantly while Azeem was critically wounded and was rushed to Nawan Lahore rural hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The pickup driver ran away after the accident leaving his vehicle there that was impounded by police.
Meanwhile, District Bar Association members observed strike on Wednesday to condemn the terrorist attack at Quetta. A general body meeting of the bar was also held with president Irshad which passed a resolution in which lawyers held the government responsible for failing to control terrorist activities.
GIRL KIDNAPPED: A teenager girl was allegedly kidnapped here on Wednesday. She was putting fodder to her cattle in outhouse in Chak 358 GB when two persons Shahbaz Ahmad and Khalid Mahmood came there by a car. They bundled her into their car and fled to unknown place. Rajana police have registered case and were conducting raids.
