RAWALPINDI - Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Muhammad Ali has sealed a hotel in Murree for charging high rent from family, informed sources on Monday.
The hotel sealed by the DC, identified as Jamal Lodge, they said.
According to sources, Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal has received a complaint on twitter that management of Jamal Lodge had charged Rs 20,000 as room rent from a family visiting Murree on December 8, 2021. He directed the DC Rawalpindi to hold inquiry into matter.
The DC visited the hotel and grilled the management besides checking hotel’s records. The DC found the hotel management guilty of plundering the family and ordered sealing the hotel, they said.
