I’m glad with B category contract: Ahmad Shahzad

lahore - Pakistan opening batsman Ahmad Shahzad Tuesday put complete faith in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s central contracts awarding committee saying that he was glad with the B category contract.
Earlier the media reported that Ahmad Shahzad was not happy with the B category central contract but soon after this news, Ahmad twitted through his social media account to clarify his point of view.
He tweeted: “I am thankful to be selected in central contract’s B category and I appreciate the PCB officials’ decision. Some people are portraying in media that I am not happy which is not true.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Ahmad Shahzad was being considered for the national team’s leading role but later, PCB chairman Najam Sethi cleared that Misbah would lead the national side till 2015 World Cup. Ahmad has been performing consistently this year which is worthy to be praised. With such brilliant performance, anyone can expect improvement in his category which is one’s right. But Ahmad has disclosed that he has no such wish as he is fully contented with the contract he was awarded by the cricket board.
On the other hand, the PCB spokesman has said that the board has its own system of awarding central contracts and it has awarded all the contracts to the players through a fair and transparent way.
