Movie attractions this Eid

LAHORE-Here is good news for all the movie buffs. This Eid-ul-Fitr a number of block buster movies are expected to be released. And it is not just the Hollywood or Bollywood stuff that would hit the silver screens across Pakistan. There has definitely been a revival of Pakistani film industry as three Pakistani movies are likely to be screened this Eid. Top personality of cinema industry and the force behind Atrium cinemas Nadeem Mandviwalla has confirmed that two Pakistani films Sawaal 700 Crore Dollar ka and Blind Love are being released. He also confirmed release of Hollywood flick Finding Dory and Indian movie Sultan.

Sawaal 700 Crore Dollar Ka

Releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr, Sawaal 700 Crore Dollar ka is a Pakistani action, thriller movie which boasts of many legendary names of our film industry like Javed Sheikh, Shamoon Abbasi, Iftikhar Thakur, Ismail Tara, Nayyer Ejaz, Ghulam Mohuiddin, and is introducing Qurat Ul Ain, and Ali Mohiuddin. If you have been missing old school Lollywood, this is your chance to relive it.

The movie is shot on the exotic locations of Thailand and Sri-Lanka. It has some serious action moves. The whole project is led by Jamshed Jan Muhammad. The music is given by M. Arshad & Faiza Ali and the producer managed to add songs from Bollywood music icons like Shaan and Alka Yagnik in the movie.

Blind Love

For romance fans Pakistani upcoming movie Blind Love is the right choice. It is the first project of Lahore based PAC (Producer’s Alliance Company) under the direction of Faisal Bukhari.  It revolves around a gangster who falls in love during a robbery with a blind girl. But with a load of odds stacked against them will he be able to defy them all? To get your answer you will have to visit the cinemas on this Eid. The cast of the movie has some fresh faces like Aamir Qureshi, Mathira, Nimra Khan, Imran Bukhari and Yasir Shah.  The movie has been filmed in Pakistan capturing some of its beautiful scenery.  The team of ‘Blind Love’ has great expectations from their project.

Dobara Phir Se

Another expected movie this Eid season was ARY Films presentation a romantic drama movie ‘Dobara Phir Se’ but according to film pundits it may not be released as too many big budget films are being released. 

It is the story of a divorced Pakistani woman in New York who comes to visit her estranged ex mother in law in the suburbs of Connecticut. It is the story of second chances, complicated relationships and family coming together. This movie is different with its unique story which surely is a trend setter in Pakistan. We have some wonderful names in the cast like Sanam Saeed, Atiqa Odho, Adeel Hussain, Tooba Sidiqui, Hareem Farooq and Ali Kazmi.

Finding Dory

In Finding Dory the adventure and fun continues, as the kind but forgetful blue tang fish ‘Dory’ sets out on a quest of finding her real family. Naturally she doesn’t remember a thing about them but with her friend the clown fish ‘Merlin’ and his son ‘Nemo’, she is sure going to try and in her journey she will re-discover the meanings of real family.

The film is presentation of Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, directed by Andrew Stanton. The stars who lent their voice include our favorite host ‘Ellen DeGeneres’ along with Albert Brooks, Hayden Rolence, Dianne Keaton and Eugene Levy. Finding Dory is warm and funny, sure to be a hit with children

From Bollywood

Salman Khan too, will be hitting the silver screen on Eid with his wrestling moves in the movie ‘Sultan’ with Anushka Sharma as his leading lady. SRK’s ‘Raees’ was also rumoured for release on Eid with our very own Mahira Khan in the cast, but no release date has been confirmed.
