The Turkish women's basketball team was hammered by Spain 75-41 in a friendly game Thursday in Valencia ahead of the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021.
The Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) said in a statement that Spain led the game 44-18 when the second quarter ended.
Tugce Canitez was Turkey's top scorer with 11 points.
Spain's highest scorer was Laura Gil, who scored 14 points for her country.
Alba Torrens racked up 12 points and Leonor Rodriguez added 10 for Spain.
Turkey will take on Italy in another friendly on Friday.
The Turkish national team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Belgium in Group C of the EuroBasket.
Co-hosted by Spain and France, FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021 will take place from June 17-27.
