SHIKARPUR - Shikarpur Police arrested six fake ISI men with weapons and vehicles during snap-checking at Sukkur–Shikarpur Highway on late Monday night.
The arrested men were identified as Peer Asif, elected councilor of Ghulam Mustafa Mangrio, Anwaruddin Mangrio, Qasim Sahto, Nisar Ahmed Qaimkhani and Rafique Ahmed Mangro.
They were going in two cars from Sukkur to Jacobabad to conduct an illegal action in disguise of ISI officers.
Addressing a press conference at the SP Office here, Shikarpur SSP Nasir Altaf informed the media men that the arrested persons were on their ‘mission’ to get illegal gratification from the people, by involving them in forged investigations, by showing themselves as the investigation team of the ISI. They told the police that they were going to Jacobabad in connection with investigation of some Hindu businessmen in some crime.Police have recovered one Kalashnikov, two TT pistols and two vehicles with government number plates.
SSP said the arrested persons were involved in cheating the people by involving them in different investigations of criminal activities. The Hindu community persons were on their hit list to get illegal gratification in cash. Further investigation is in progress.
PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ARRESTED
Shikarpur Police have arrested one proclaimed offender namely M Deen alias Baadal alias Baadu on Tuesday. He was involved in aiding the suicide bomb blast occurred in Jamia Masjid of central Imambargah Karbala Maula Lakhi Gate, Shikarpur.
On pinpoint of the mastermind terrorist of Shikarpur namely Abdul Hafeez alias Ali Sher Brohi, the police party headed by DSP City Saeed Ahmed Shaikh and SHO Lakhi Gate police Shikarpur Tahir Qadri raided the village Abdul Khalique Pindrani and arrested the gang member of the terrorist mastermind, Ali Sher Brohi.
Police have also recovered five kilogramme explosives from a field near village Pindrani.
It may be recalled that the suicide bomb blast incident was occurred in Shikarpur on January 30, 2015 in which 65 innocent persons were martyred and more than 100 persons were injured. SSP Shikarpur Nasir Aftab claimed that many of the gangsters and facilitators involved in Shikarpur incident have been arrested and the police search operations were going on for arresting the other remaining terrorists. The network of terrorists in Shikarpur district was destroyed and the people of Shikarpur district have been saved from any further terrorism threat.
Moreover, the SSP informed that the Chack Police have recovered the body of 14-year-old boy Adeel of Chack Town and arrested the main accused Hafeez Channa and his other helpers Ghulam Mustafa Channa, M Ali Channa and Ali Ahmed Kehar.
According to police, accused Hafeezullah Channa had illicit terms with deceased boy Adeel Channa. Hafeez killed the boy by strangulating him. Later, he put the body in a bag and threw in the garbage dump outside the Chack Town.
