ISLAMABAD (APP) - President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday conferred illustrious and renowned poet late Ahmed Faraz with Hilal-e-Pakistan (Civil) posthumously for his contributions in the realm of poetry and literature. The President also restored earlier award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz which was already conferred upon late Ahmad Faraz in 1994 but was withdrawn by the previous government in 2006. He also advised the CDA to name a road or some other public place after the renowned poet, in an acknowledgement of his great services for the nation.
