Grabbers of school land affect sports activities

KHANEWAL
Govt Girls Middle School Jinnah Colony lacks boundary walls due to grabbing of its land and aggressive attitude of the people living around it as they want a passageway from the school land illegally.
A 15-kanal land near Christian and Jinnah Colony is owned by the school. The covered area is over 3 kanals while the rest 12-kanal land is for school ground and sports activity. The 12-kanal land is surrounded and occupied by the school on its three sides but not on the fourth side for last 17 years. The Kamboh family who were staying around even before the school establishment demand access to Christian Colony street. This is why they did not allow the construction of boundary wall on the south side, in front of their houses, and they got a stay order from the civil court which later cancelled it in favour of the school. The family has its front door opening in a 30-ft wide street but still they want a 20 to 30-ft street in the rear too from the school land.
One Rasheed Kamboh, a councillor from this ward, resisted the authorities by implicating into civil suits. Thus, the sports activities of the schools are suspended.
Former EDO (Education) Khanewal Fazil Saleemi had once visited and after listening to the story of illegal occupation, had called in police at the site but then the occupant had shown stay order which later cancelled by the court, while the town people who gathered at the event requested EDO to give some time to settle the issue.
the school administration has constructed a temporary wall around the academic portion/rooms so as not to be visible from ground and other sides thus obstructing vision to carry out educational activities.
In addition, the 12-kanal ground has now become a filth depot. The school administration demanded that the district administration should get the land retrieved from the occupants.
