LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif went to village Sariyali Kallan of district Kasur on Sunday and sympathised with the parents of a 6-year-old boy Zahid, who was murdered after criminal assault. Talking to the parents of the ill-fated child the chief minister assured that the demands of justice will be fulfilled. During the meeting, the CM was moved to tears when the parents and the five sisters of the deceased started to mourn his death. He commiserated with the parents of the child and assured that the criminal will be awarded maximum punishment under the law. He also gave financial assistance amounting to Rs 0.5 million to the bereaved family. It may be mentioned that Zahid, the only son of Abdul Latif, a Naib Qasid at Accountant Generals office, was brutalised and murdered by a reprobate. The police have traced and arrested the criminal.
