The newly-appointed six additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) took oath of their office here on Friday.
LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial administered oath to Justice Shoaib Saeed, Justice Atir Mahmood, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Shezada Mazhar and Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh in a ceremony held at LHC Judges' lounge.
LHC Judges,federal and provincial law officers, office bearers of lawyers' bodies,families of judges and a number of  senior lawyers attended the ceremony.  
After the induction of six additional judges, the strength of LHC judges has become 41.
President Asif Ali Zardari acting upon the advice by Prime Minister appointed the said additional Judges on April 10 for a period of one year.
