Daska election harbinger of PTI’s ouster: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Orangzeb has said that result of Daska bye-election would prove a harbinger of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ouster from power.  Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, she said that the election result was a referendum against flour, sugar thieves. She said whenever the workers would be able to protect their mandate, PML-N’s victory is sure. She said that the people voted for the PML-N as it ensured provision of essential commodities at cheaper prices.  She termed Imran Khan ‘selected’ prime minister and added he was also a liar. She alleged that the PM was patronizing mafias which resulted in price-hike.  The PML-N spokesperson said that the ruling PTI was facing internal rift and hoped Jehangir Tareen was in a position to dislodge PTI from Centre and Punjab. She alleged that the PTI got a mandate as it stole votes. She claimed that his party helped lessen poverty, laid motorways and ensured essential commodities at cheaper prices.

She said the ‘langer khanay’ (shelter homes) were being run by Seelani Trust since long and added the government was taking undue credit for the same.

She congratulated the PML-N workers for Daska election victory and hoped her party would also win Karachi and Khushab by-election in the coming days. She also congratulated the ECP and its officials for holding a fair and free by-election.
