AJK PM vows to complete all projects in two years

LAHORE - Prime Minister Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Khan has promised to complete all pending tasks within two years besides completing long-cherished goal of liberating Kashmir from the Indian occupation. He said the coalition government was a blessing for Kashmiri people. We will provide all basic facilities by completing all the works left over for decades within two years. We will also liberate Kashmir from India, he vowed, while addressing an all parties Kashmir Conference here on Tuesday. The conference was attended and addressed by leaders of all major Kashmiri political parties, including PPP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Peoples League, Muslim Conference and others. The prime minister said the coalition government reflected unanimity of objectives of the Kashmiri leadership, and it would also give much-needed boost to the Kashmir cause. Kashmiris are first Pakistanis, then Kashmiris. They have historic bonds with people of the Punjab, who had given sacrifices every time, especially during the recent earthquake. They always pray for Pakistan since their own strength depends upon the stability of the country, he observed. He warned those Kashmiris involved in corruption, and said he would purge the community of all sorts of malpractices and other evils in the name of charities and Zakat funds. I am working on a fast-paced development programme in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and for the first time three medical colleges, two women universities, one nursing and veterinary college, several hospitals, bridges and roads are sanctioned, he added, while vowing to change the path for betterment of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir within two years. He congratulated the Pakistani leadership specially president Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Quaid PML-N Nawaz Sharif for showing great statesmanship for independence of judiciary. I will meet Governor and Chief Minster Punjab on Wednesday (today), and request them to grant permanent seats to Kashmiri students in Medical and Engineering Colleges, he added. Sardar Yaqoob also asked the Indian leadership to realise the importance of peace in the region, which depended upon the liberation of the occupied Kashmir. We dont want to conquer India, but only want actualisation of those promises made by Indian leadership, which guarantee right of self-determination to Kashmiris, he said, while promising an early completion of the residential colonies for Kashmiris in Lahore. Earlier, Ghulam Mohyuddin Diwan, PPP Jammu Kashmir Lahore President Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain, Jamaat Islami Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Lahore ameer Ijaz Kiyani, PPP Jammu Kashmir leader Sardar Akhtar Javed, Kashmir Action Committee president Justice (r) Sharif Hussain Bukhari, AJK Labour wing leader Rana Usman and PPP leader Javed Dar underlined the need for liberating Kashmir from the Indian occupation in order to strengthen Pakistan. India has stolen Pakistani water from the rivers in blatant violation of the Indus Water Treaty and international laws, they opined, while stressing that if Pakistan remained silent, then soon its agricultural lands would turn into deserts.
