SIALKOT - The number of the kidney patients has increased to 20 million in Pakistan due to the lack of proper awareness of the kidney diseases, disclosed an expert. Addressing the participants of a seminar held under the auspices of Kidney Patients’ Welfare Association, Dr Naeem Ahmed said that a sum of US$ 50 billion is spent on the treatment of 20 million kidney patients annually in Pakistan. He added that the early days’ diagnoses of the kidney diseases could help the patients control it and avert the expensive kidney treatment.
