Wheat reserved for export

LAHORE Provincial Food Secretary Irfan Elahi has said that the Punjab government has reserved 3.5 million metric ton wheat for the export from six divisions. In a press release, the food secretary said that 490,000 metric ton wheat from Faisalabad, 294,000 metric ton from Sargodha, 822,000 metric ton from Multan, 584,000 metric ton from Sahiwal, 443,000 metric ton from DG Khan and 868,000 metric ton from Bahwalpur divisions have been allocated for export. He said that a special cell has been set up to facilitate the exporters which would work from 8 am to 8pm daily except holidays, so that all information could be provided to the wheat exporters.
