SHEIKHUPURA: Five passengers including three women were killed while twenty four others sustained injuries, six of them seriously in a road mishap took place on Lahore-Kala Khatai Road near Lubanwaala on Wednesday.
A passenger bus was going to Zafarwal via Kala Khatai from Lahore. Near Lubanwala the driver taking a sharp turn failed to control the vehicle which rammed into a truck coming from opposite direction. As a result, Rukhsana Bibi, Muhammad Bibi, Sadia Bibi and two others male unidentified passengers died on the spot. While 24 passengers sustained injuries six of them critically and were shifted to Shahdra and Lahore hospitals. The drivers of both the vehicles escaped from the site. In another incident, a motorcyclist Rizwan lost his life when a speedy pickup collided with his two wheeler on Jandiala Road. –Reporter
