Ameer, Haniya enter semis of Out-Class Punjab Jr Tennis

LAHORE     -   Ameer Mazari and Haniya Minhas entered the semifinals of the Out-Class Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2021 after defeating their respective opponents in the quarterfinals played here at the Punjab Tennis Academy Bagh-e-Jinnah on Thursday. Total 19 matches were played on the second day of the mega event. In the U-14 quarterfinals, sensational Ameer Mazari was up against Haroon Arshad and after playing well, Mazari managed to win the crucial match by 8-5. Phenomenal Haniya Minhas proved too hot for Aized Khalil and outpaced him with a huge margin of 8-1. Earlier in the U-14 pre-quarterfinals, Asad Zaman outlasted Abdur Rehman 6-1, Omer Jawad thrashed Eesa Bilal 6-0, Ameer Mazari crushed Mustafa Mehdi 6-0 and Haroon Arshad routed Abdur Rehman Pirzada 6-3.  In U-12 pre-quarterfinals, Haniya Minhas was up against Xeerak Mustafa and she punished his opponent badly and won the encounter 6-0. In the encounters of the same category, Talha Tarar beat Nad-e-Ali 6-3, Zohaib Afzal Malik outpaced Abdur Rehman 6-2, Eesa Bilal beat Rafay 6-1, Harris Bajwa beat Eesa 6-0, Omer Jawad beat Hajra 6-2, Ismail Aftab beat Aalay Hussain 6-1 and Ameer Mazari beat Mustafa 6-0.
