PTF to hold ranking tennis from 18th

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) announced to hold the 2nd Kulsum Saifullah Khan Memorial National Ranking Tennis Championships from January 18 here at Senator Dilawar Abbas, PTF Tennis Complex.
The Grade-I event will be the second version, sponsored by the Saif group of companies, as the first one was held in Jan 2015. The tournament is expected to draw a large number of entries in most events, with draws being held on January 17 and qualifying rounds starting on January 18.
Rs 500,000 has been announced as the gross prize money for the relevant categories including men’s singles and doubles, ladies’ singles, boys’ 18 & under, 14 & U, 10 & U, seniors-doubles open 45 & above, and executive seniors doubles 60 and above. However, in the 60+ category this year, to make the event more enjoyable and attractive to the many club players and the diplomatic/expat community in/around the twin cities, ‘no professional player’ will be allowed to participate nor will this category carry any prize money.
Last date of entry is January 16. All the affiliated units of PTF and players are advised to send entries to Shehzad Akhter Alvi, referee of the week-long championship, at Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex or email at id.pktenfed@gmail.com.
All the out-station main draw singles players will get Rs 700 as daily allowance until elimination from the day, they play their first match and in addition to that, all juniors singles main draw players will also be entitled to get economy class railway fare both ways.
