COAS visits Peshawar, condoles with Bilour family

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Bilour family in Peshawar to offer condolences  to the family of Haroon Bilour.    

Earlier, on Thursday, caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk and Army Chief General Bajwa reached Peshawar  amid high security.

Prior to that, both the COAS and PM Mulk held meeting with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KP), Iqbal Zafar Jaghra, and discussed the security matters. The meeting was held to discuss the matters of law and order after the deadly Peshawar blast incident which claimed the life of Awami National Party's (ANP) leader Haroon Bilour.

Haroon Bilour was killed in a suicide attack in Yakatoot area of Peshawar on July 10. Bilour was contesting the upcoming general elections from PK-78 constituency of Peshawar. 

Moreover, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) postponed elections from PK-78 constituency.
