KARACHI- Former President Pervez Musharraf’s counsel, Barrister Farogh Naseem, says his client does not require federal government’s permission to fly abroad.
Earlier today, Sindh High Court ordered government to lift travel ban on the ex-military ruler and allow him to leave Pakistan.
"The court has allowed our appeal and ordered to strike down Musharraf's name from the Exit Control List. The order will be executed after 15 days," said Farogh Naseem outside the court.
Naseem hailed court’s decision, saying “the ruling is a proof that judiciary is free.” The 70-year-old former commando has since April been staying with his daughter in Karachi, where he travelled for tests at navy-run hospital, PNS Shifa.
