ISLAMABAD - The federal government has allocated Rs.1.5 billion in PSDP 2021-22 for the construction of session divisions (East and West) at G-11/4, Islamabad.
The total cost of the project is 6.95 billion rupees however an allocation of Rs.1.5 billion has been made. At present, there is no formal judicial complex in Islamabad and most of the session courts are operating in the rented buildings of sector F-8.
The said project is to house the session court as well as to accommodate the allied necessities. The project was approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) in March 2021.
Meanwhile, a total amount of Rs.6.02bn is allocated in budget for Law and Justice Division that includes 2.27bn for new schemes and Rs.3.75bn for the new schemes. The government also includes Rs.380m for Acquisition of 5.4 acres of Land for Construction of Secretariat for Attorney General of Pakistan, Advocate Generals, and allied offices in connection with Supreme Court of Pakistan.
