Judges couldn’t prove corruption of even six rupees against Nawaz Sharif: Maryam

PML-N Social Media Convention I Accuses judiciary of favouring Imran, criticises it for disqualifying Nawaz on unproved allegations

Rawalpindi - Maryam Nawaz Sharif, during her address at PML-N Social Media Workers Convention on Sunday, came down hard on PTI Chief Imran Khan and denounced the judges of apex court for favouring their blue eyed (Ladla) despite proving his corruption.

She accused the judiciary of being unjust with the public elected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by ousting him from power on a trivial matter.

She also criticized the Joint Investigation Team formed by Supreme Court of Pakistan probing Mian Nawaz Sharif for his involvement in Panama Leaks and dubbed JIT as Whatsapp JIT.

Maryam claimed that the top court of the country and the National Accountability Bureau had built up cases against Mian Nawaz Sharif but the investigators failed to prove corruption of even six rupees in the six month time period.

She said that the committee found nothing in the case despite spending millions of rupees. “The JIT head gave millions of rupees to his relatives in the name of investigations,” she said.

“If you frisk the assets of Nawaz Sharif’s father and grandfather, then this rule should also be applied to all the politicians of Pakistan and not against my father alone,” she said while addressing the Convention held at Fawara Chowk on Sunday.

Besides a large numbers of party workers, the social media convention was also attended by Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister Danial Aziz, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, MNA Captain (retd) Safdar, MNAs Malik Abrar Ahmed, Asfand Yar Bhandara, Begum Tahira Aurangzeb, Begum Najma Hamid, ex-MNAs Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Malik Shakil Awan, MPAs Tehsin Fawad, Zaib-un-Nisa Awan, Raja Hanif Advocate, Malik Iftikhar, ex-MPA Zia Ullah Shah, Chaudhry Ayaz, Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Nasim and President PML-N City Sardar Mumtaz, Deputy Mayor Islamabad Shani Shah.

From Kahuta, PML-N MPA Sobia Satti along with Chairman Union Council (UC) Narr Bilal Yamin Satti brought the biggest rally of supporters comprising men, women, and children to participate in the social media convention.

Maryam Nawaz took a weighing scale from one of the participants at the convention and used it to explain that on the one side, Ladla (Irman Khan) despite having off-shore companies, and forged documents of his Bani Gala residence was not facing any punishment whereas Mian Nawaz Sharif, on the other side, with no off-shore company was disqualified on Aqama for not taking salary from his son.

She lamented that she and her father Nawaz Sharif have been prevented from going out of the country to visit the ailing Kulsoom Nawaz who is suffering from cancer. “For the last four months, we have not been allowed to travel to see my ailing mother who is again admitted in hospital,” she said.

She said that they will not lodge a complaint or make noise against this injustice but leave it to the Almighty to provide them justice.

She also asked the people to stand up to take revenge from those who had insulted Mian Nawaz Sharif by deposing him from the Prime Minister Office and hurling a shoe at him in a seminary at Lahore.

“In the next general election, people will reject the politics of foul language and allegations and will vote for Mian Nawaz Sharif,” she asked the charged during crowd.

“Don’t attack under the veil because Nawaz Sharif is not afraid of such cowardly acts. Those who face defeat use such tactics like jackals but people will exact revenge from those who are behind this act while stamping on the ballot papers in favour of Nawaz Sharif in general election,” she said.

She said that the incident would increase PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s popularity, which is evident from the crowds of supporters that turned up at the convention. While removing the bullet proof screen from the stage, she challenged, “Attack me if you have courage.”

Hitting at Imran Khan, Maryam Nawaz Sharif asserted that a leader is one who presents an ideology and brings the country out of crises. “Whose words and actions are not even his will not able to be called leader of the nation,” she said.

She said that political opponents of Mian Nawaz Sharif are doing politics of horse trading. “PTI Chief Imran Khan bowed before Zardari Sahib as he gave 13 of his votes in the Senate to him,” she said.

Maryam appreciated the performance of Social Media of ruling PML-N and compared it to PTI’s Social Media Convention in Islamabad yesterday where all the chairs were empty.

On the occasion, charged participants chanted slogans against PTI Chief Imran Khan and MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

She asked the social media organizers to take oath from the new members and said that during the last two weeks, thousand of youngsters joined the social media page of PML-N from Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, a large numbers of participants started leaving Pindal soon after Maryam Nawaz Sharif began delivering her speech. They complained that party leaders had not arranged proper seating for them.

Police have made tight arrangements to protect the participants of social media convention. Walk through gates were installed at the entrance of venue of convention. CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi and SSP (Operations) Muhammad Bin Ashraf monitored security arrangements.

City Traffic Police blocked the roads leading to Fawara Chowk and allowed only pedestrians to reach the venue.
