Former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf has once again invited Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzameen Party to join his 23-party alliance.
In a video message shared by his All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party on social media, the former president asked the two parties to "merge under a new name and join Pakistan Awami Itehad".

The former president, who had announced the alliance on Friday, claimed that 23 parties gathered in Islamabad and appointed him as the "chairman of the grand alliance".
He had also advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to "join hands with a group that would take Pakistan forward" while accusing him of only thinking about his own party (PTI).

Musharraf, who was charged with treason by a special court last year and was declared an absconder in the Benazir Bhutto murder case in August this year, had claimed that he was ready to face all charges as the courts were not under "Nawaz Sharif's control anymore".
"The accountability process should not be affected by my arrival [to Pakistan]," the former president had said, adding that the courts and the armed forces must be "allowed" to function as both institutions are working in the country's favour.
