Nine held, arms, drugs recovered in Peshawar

The police arrested nine outlaws including drug pushers, recovered arms and narcotics during separate actions in different areas of the provincial capital on Friday.

The police during operations against elements involved in the drugs business in Chamkani, Phandu, and Machni Gate police stations jurisdiction arrested five drug pushers and recovered two-kilogram crystal meth (Ice) and 12-kilogram hashish from their possession.

Bhana Marri police foiled a bid to smuggle illegal weapons and arrested an accused Amir Hussain s/o Muhammad Hussain besides recovery of nine pistols from his possession.

Three suspects were arrested with a Kalashnikov, an M4 Rifle, and Kalakov in Pharipura police station jurisdiction.

The police confiscated the recovered weapons, narcotics and after registering separate cases against detainees at concerned police stations started an investigation.
