KARACHI - The chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Munawar Hassan said that capitalism had clutched the international economy and the labour movement rising from the ‘Wall Street’ acknowledged the prediction of Islamic scholar Syed Abu-al-Aala Modoudi.Munawar said that the scholar Modoudi had once said that though capitalism and communism were ruling over the globe but the time would come when both the economic systems remained fail to survive in Washington and Moscow. He expressed these views addressing a book launching ceremony, held by ‘The Trust’ in connection with a book entitled ‘Be-Tegh Sepahi,’ featuring history of life and struggle of a well regarded labour leader and National Labour Federation founding general secretary Shabeer Hussain (late). On the occasion, he said that the wages of labourers should be at par with the requirements of economic situations and needs of masses. He said that 20th century remained very fertile regarding labour movements and revolutions. He viewed that a movement raised from the ‘New York’ has jolted the economic system of entire Western world without having alternative economic system. This lack could only be fulfilled with the help of Islamic principles of economy and society. He said the present labour movements were facing a hard time and if the JI come in power they would mitigate the miseries of the labour community. He praised the efforts of Shabbir Hussain for representing Islamic ideology among labour’s movement. A message of Hussain’s widow for the ceremony was also delivered. JI Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, The Trust Chairman Muhammad Shafi and trustee Zahid Askari and others also expressed their views at the ceremony.Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister and Sindh PPP President, Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday presided the meeting of organizing committee for public meeting scheduled to be held at Hyderabad on October 15, held at the Chief Minister House. The meeting was attended among others by Federal Minister Moula Bux Chandio, Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani, Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Hussain Bhurgari, Sindh Information Department Sharjeel Enam Memon, Forest Minister Syed ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi, Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, Sohrab Marri, Senior Special Assistant Rashid Rabbani, Special Assistant to CM Waqar Mehdi, Political Coordinator to CM Sindh Siddique Abu Bhai and others. It was decided that the big public meeting will be held on Monday October 15, 2012 at 12 noon at ground behind Rajputana Hospital, Jamshoro Road, Hyderbad. The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the public meeting in detail including security measures, drinking water facility, stage and smooth flow of transport with party workers coming from various parts of Hyderabad and other localities. Qaim said that it was expected that a large number of people would attend the public meeting and will listen to their leadership. He said that prominent personalities and main leaders of PPP will attend the Public meeting. The meeting expressed its full confidence and hope that the coming public meeting will be milestone in the history of Pakistan People’s Party and the same will provide guideline to the workers of party for preparedness and participation in next general elections. Various suggestions and proposals were also presented in the meeting for scheduled public meeting.
