Altaf wants ulema to flay Malala attack


KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain urged the Ulema to condemn the cowardly attack on Malala Yousafzai within 24 hours.
He urged the religious scholars and the world to condemn the Taliban attack on the nation’s daughter in next 24 hours, said a statement issued on Thursday.
Hussain warned that if the scholars did not condemn the attack then he would unveil their reality in his address on Sunday. He added if the Ulema failed to condemn the Taliban attack then MQM representatives would present a bill in the National Assembly on the subject.
He appealed to the nation to pray for Malala’s health who was critically injured along with other two girl students.
Meanwhile, Quran Khawani was held at the Malala Yousufzai Government Girls School Mission Road here on Thursday to pray for the early recovery of the 14-year old who had campaigned for the girls education in Swat.
The school was named after Malala sometime back in view of her services for the cause of girls’ education.
Quran Khawani was organized on Thursday on the directive of the Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Pir Mazharul Haq.
Students, teachers and other staff of the school participated.
