LAHORE – Dacoits shot dead a 35-year-old man on offering resistance during an armed robbery on the Ring Road in the Nishtar Colony police jurisdiction in the wee hours of Thursday, police sources claimed.
Kashif Shehzad, a resident of Green Town, arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on a flight from Muscat and was on his way home when unidentified gunmen started chasing him. As he reached near Kumahan Road in the Nishtar Colony police precincts, the robbers intercepted him and tried to rob him at gunpoint. When Kashif offered resistance, they opened straight fire on him. 
Kashif, a labourer who had worked in Muscat for years, sustained bullet wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him as dead.
