ISLAMABAD - German Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Cyrill Nunn Thursday called on Chairman, Press Council of Pakistan, Raja Shafqat Abbasi at PCP Secretariat and exchanged views on areas of mutual interest and cooperation between the two friendly Countries. At this point, Dr Cyrill Nunn said that Pakistan is an Important Country and Germany value its relationship with Pakistan. German Ambassador was also accompanied by Dr Thomas Ditt, Head of Press and Cultural Section. Chairman PCP, Raja Shafqat Abbasi briefed the distinguished guest about the vision, scope and functioning   of PCP in upholding true value of freedom of expression. Mr. Abbasi said PCP is taking many initiatives to implement Media code of ethics for media practitioners in Pakistan.He said PCP is taking specific steps to implement media ethics for media coverage of election 2013 to improve indicators of democracy in Pakistan.
