KARACHI - KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has directed to name the under construction link road from Grammar College to street No 11 Clifton after renowned writer and scholar Fatima Surayya Bajya. This road would be called Sharah-e-Fatima Surayya Bajya after its completion with a cost of Rs 3.96 million.The Administrator Karachi on this occasion said that Karachi Muncipal Corporation (KMC) along with development works of Karachi was also supporting and patronizing sports, cultural and recreation activities in the city.He said that artists associated with arts and literature serve the country in their whole life and they were the asset of the country.He said that this country was as much for poets, players, actors and artists as it was for people associated with different other professions.He also said that Fatima Surayya Bajya was much associated with her culture and civilization and the writer who by her work served the country and provided a new direction to Pakistani dramas and always tried to highlight Pakistani culture in her dramas.In recognition of her services KMC has decided to attribute this Shahrah to her name.After completion of this road in four months it would be inaugurated in her presence.Administrator Karachi the construction of link road was an old problem of this area which was now being resolved and it would be completed in next four months which would facilitate the people.Besides Nehr-e-Khayyam New Jersey barriers would be installed whereas pavements on both sides would be made so that people of this area would be facilitated. condolence: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed his deep grief and sorrows on sad demise of renowned TV and Radio artist Abdul Rehman Memon, who died after a long ailment.
