KARACHI – A man and a woman committed suicide while another died in a road mishap in different parts of the City here on Thursday.A newly-wedded woman committed suicide after getting information about the first wife of his husband in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase-1 within the limits of Steel Town police station.Police officials said that the victim namely Sumera, 29, wife of Waqar Ahmed, a resident of the same area took poison. The deceased family shifted her to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced her death. Police said that Waqar got his second marriage with Sumera one-year ago and now she came to know about his first wife. The revelation about her husband’s first marriage got her so disappointed that she ended her life.A man committed suicide in Surjani Town Sec-36B within the jurisdiction of Sarjani Town police station.Police officials said that victim namely as Muhammad Sohail, 28, a resident of Tesar Town, house number A-41 hanged himself to death with the ceiling fan.Police said that the victim married three years back and his wife left him three months ago after scuffle. Police said that deceased could not convince his wife and finally hanged himself to death.A young man was knocked to death in a road incident in Korangi in Awami Colony police precincts. Police officials said that the victim identified as Sheriyar, 25, died on the spot when a speedy car hit him and run while crossing the road. The deceased was a factory worker. He was on his way to home when the incident occurred. He died on the spot and his body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police registered an FIR against unknown driver.
