Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Munawar Hassan has said that throne
of mosque and religious clerics have to play their due role in bringing an Islamic revolution of
peace, prosperity and national prestige.
He expressed these views, while laying a foundation stone of a mosque at Alhamd Town, adjoining
to Gulshan-e-Memar on Thursday night. Speaking on the occasion, he said that establishing
mosques is a pious measure and everyone should take part in this regard as per capacity.
Further talking about the role of mosque in a Muslim society, he said that even non-practical
Muslims respond overwhelmingly to the appeal of mosque’s throne, unfortunately appeal for a
revolution couldn’t be delivered from here so far. He said that it is a responsibility of religious
clerics to guide people towards real teachings of Islam and aware them about the requirements of
ongoing crucial times.
Criticizing the role of Muslim leaders over ongoing issue of sacrilegious designs, he said that it was
a matter of grave concern and sorrow that enemies of Islam were targeting the honor of holy
Prophet (PBUH), while leaders of Muslim world were seemed even deprive of courage to take any
practical measure. He said that surfacing sacrilegious movies and cartoons were incidents, but a
designed conspiracy.
He said that innocent people of a part of Pakistan, deprived of even basic facilities of health and
education, were droned and compelled to migrate from their areas.
On the occasion Hassan stressed the need to upgrade the curricula of seminaries, so as to enable
religious clerics and the nation to tackle the latest challenges of time. He also prayed Allah
Almighty for unity and harmony among Muslim Umma.
JI Karachi Secretary General Naseem Siddiqui, Jamiat Ittehad-e-Ulma Karachi president Molana
Ibrahim Hanif, JI leader Usama Razzi and others were also present on the occasion.
