Utilising qualified Pak expats explored

ISLAMABAD – Director General National Talent Pool (NTP) Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha on Thursday gave a detailed briefing to Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Muhammad Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon on how to utilize the expertise of Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistanis (HQPs) in the country and abroad as well.     
The DG NTP briefed that under the enlightened vision of the President Asif Ali Zardari, NTP has, therefore, enlarged and expanded the available facility through the PSDP Programme titled “President’s Programme for the Care of Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistanis (PPQP)” to facilitate high level Pakistani professionals abroad for their placement in Pakistan through short to long term technical assistance to avail benefits of their expertise for specific inputs in their areas of specialization, for public and private sector within the country.
This programme facilitates our organizations/institutions including production units to meet their deficient areas in various fields of specialization which include engineering, medicine/surgery, physical sciences, Energy, Nano-Technology, Bio-Science/Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Environment, Agriculture, Economics, Management, IT and in other social sectors. Just send requisition to NTP of required Highly Qualified Person, we will meet the demand of host organization free of cost, added Dr. Ranjha.
Chairman NAVTTC Muhammad Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon while appreciating the briefing, said that President Zardari has actually provided oxygen to NTP by making it functional in the real sense and under the active leadership of Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha and full support by the Federal Secretary E&T Qamar Zaman Chaudhary, NTP has done such a marvelous job in just 4 months which had not been done in the past for many years since its establishment.
NTP’s data preparation of HQPs and provision of right man for the right job of afore mentioned subjects to public and private sector host organizations free of cost by the NTP within the country and abroad, is the need of the hour which would go a long way for the socio-economic uplift of the country. NAVTTC would fully cooperate with NTP for the success of this program, Chairman assured.
