Umar tops medical entrance test across Punjab

TOBA TEK SINGH - Umer Maqbool, who topped medical colleges entrance test 2016 across the Punjab, belongs to Toba Tek Singh.
Umer Maqbool son of Dr Maqbool Ahmad secured 1,082 out of 1,100 marks in the entrance test. His father Dr Maqbool Ahmad is resident of Chak 319-JB and is serving as a doctor in a Saudi Arabian hospital for several years. Umer’s mother Rehana Maqbool who is a teacher in a local Government Girls’ High School told this reporter that she and her husband were proud of his great success.
She added that her son had secured extraordinary marks in matric examinations and 523 marks in intermediate part I exams. So he was also topper in Faisalabad board in his intermediate part 1 examination while his intermediate part I and II results will be announced on Sep 17.
She further said her son was also a good Urdu debater and he had taken part in chief minister’s Punjab level debate competition. She said although his father was in Saudi Arabia for job but Umer never made her tense regarding his studies as he was an obedient and hard working student. Punjab College Principal Mahmoodul Hasan said he hardly saw a student like Umer. The principal said when he was sent to Punjab College’s Faisalabad campus for preparation of the entrance test he worked hard. Umer said his achievements were the result of the prayers of his parents and guidance of his teachers.
