Ahead of the Pakistan football team’s SAFF Championship semi-final match against India on Wednesday, Pakistan cricketers have extended their best wishes to the football squad and hoped that they would perform their best to overcome their neighbors.
Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed said that the nation’s prayers were with the football team, and InshaAllah, the team would perform well.
“I wish the Pakistan football team all the best for the semi-final against India. May Allah grant you success and may you be victorious like you have been throughout the tournament,” Shahdab Khan said.
“I want to extend my best wishes for the football team in their match against India. InshaAllah they will win the match and qualify for the final,” said Faheem Ashraf. Test cricketer Azhar Ali also extended his best wishes for the team.
This semi-final against India would be Pakistan’s first appearance in the last four of the tournament after 13 years. Their opponents, India, are the only unbeaten side in the competition so far.
