Ex Davis Cupper seeks CM Punjab help

LAHORE - Pakistan former Davis cupper Tayyab Iftikhar has sought financial help from Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz for his Davis Cupper son Samir Iftikhar to avail the 80 percent four-year athletic and educational scholarship offered by Prestigious University of New Mexico in USA. Talking to TheNation here on Monday, Tayyab Iftikhar said: Samirs tuition, books, tennis training is all paid for by the University and he had appealed to the CM for financial help/reward in July 2011 to help him with balance of 20% scholarship amounting to approx $10,000 for the first year for boarding and lodging expenses but there has been no response and that I have with limited financial resources managing and joined the University in September for first semester from Sept-Dec where I am facing financial hardship to bear all his expenses.
