PAF beat KPT in Premier League

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Air Force (PAF) beat Karachi Port Trust (KPT) 4-2 in the eighth Pakistan Premier Football League match played here at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Monday. PAF piled pressure from the beginning on the opponents and that paid off in the seventh minute when midfielder M Sher managed to provide his team a lead. KPT after conceding one goal lead made strong come back and landed the equaliser through striker Zafar Majeed in the 21st minute. The first half ended at 1-1. PAF changed their strategy in the second half and once again managed to take lead in only the second minute through ace striker Mansoor Khan. PAF failed to maintain their lead again as the KPT striker Shahid Saleem scored equaliser in the 60th minute. At that stage PAF manager makes a change to change the formatting of the team as he put another forward to strengthen their attacking power. The move worked for PAF and Junaid scored one goal to make it 3-2 in the 65th minute. This proved killer blow for KPT and they just tried to defend that proved fatal for them as PAF midfielder Mujahid scored fourth goal of the team in the 82nd minute to put the game beyond the reach of KPT. The match ended 4-2 in favour of PAF. In another match played at Noshki Football Ground, Quetta, Afghan FC thrashed Baloch FC 3-1. Thanks to striker Jadeed Khan Pathan who slammed a brilliant hat trick led is team to victory. Jadeed scored in 30th, 48th and 75th minute.
