ELLAH ABAD - The Chief Ministers programme of providing education on doorstep is being ignored by Kasur Education Department. As per details, Govt Girls High School Bhagiwal Tibba, adjoining village of Ellah Abad, was established in 1964 as primary school and upgraded to high school step by step in 2008. But there are not headmistress and 3 other teachers in the school since long. Once the Education Department appointed a headmistress but she did not join the school. And the Department did not pay attention to this matter again. Students told the media that their future was at risk. There are not science laboratory, computer lab and library in the school and despite the availability of sports fund there is nothing related to sports for students, even furniture is also very short. It is mention worthy that due to vacant posts of headmistress, teachers and other educational facilities, the last years 9th class result was zero. With this result, poor students of almost 10 villages have to go to city schools in Ellah Abad. Parents as well as students of the village and surrounding have demanded Punjab Chief Minister and Education Department to immediately appoint new headmistress, drawing teacher, subject specialist teacher, PTC teacher and provide the school with latest science laboratory, computer lab, library and sports equipment.
